When we experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for our lives to unravel. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. I help my clients, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.
I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, and so I have been trained in a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Mindfulness Techniques, Strength Based Approach, Mind Techniques and also I am constantly working on gaining insights into several other modalities of psychotherapy that can help me better help my clients.
My educational background includes a Masters in Psychology and a Doctorate in Psychology from India and I am a Registered Clinical Counselor with BCACC. With over 5 years of experience as a Counselor I have had the opportunity to work with diverse populations that includes people from different cultures, communities, races, age groups, sexual orientations, etc which has helped me grow in this field with great acceptance towards different cultures and preferences. My aim is to build a non judgemental and trustworthy relationship with my clients offering them a safe space to open up and gain insights into their own experiences and be able to advocate their own lives.
