Nat is a registered social worker who specializes in the domains of trauma and dissociative disorders, 2SLGBTQIA+ concerns, as well as symptoms of autism and/or ADHD. Nat identifies as a non-binary, Jewish, and POC counsellor whose goal is to support individuals, couples, and families in achieving holistic wellness.I have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds in both case-management and crisis-management. I strive to implement a culturally-informed approach to practice founded upon the development of trust and therapeutic rapport. As a counsellor, I encourage personal empowerment and utilize a client-driven model for sessions in which participants are encouraged to navigate their therapeutic journey at their pace. I employ a holistic, tailored approach to counselling sessions in order to meet clients’ unique needs. My goal is to support individuals, couples, and families throughout their psychological, behavioural, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing journeys.

Approach

My therapeutic approach involves an eclectic blend of modalities that are tailored to suit the needs of each individual, couple, or family. I emphasize a holistic approach that incorporates Person-Centered Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation, Play Therapy, Recreational Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Problem-Solving Strategies, Family Systems Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy.
