She got her Bachelors of Science with honours while studying abroad and is working on her Masters in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Rachel finds it important to connect with others in order to improve both individual’s and the world’s view towards mental health. She believes the client-counsellor relationship is crucial to the therapeutic process. In her spare time, Rachel busies herself with photography, running, reading, listening to music, and connecting with friends and family. Rachel is looking forward to working with her clients, and guiding them towards becoming their own therapists.

Approach

A therapist brings their own personality into the office, so having a human, holistic, authentic approach is important to Rachel. Therefore, in practice, Rachel utilizes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Focusing-Oriented Therapy, while pulling concepts from Attachment Theory and Internal Family Systems Theory.
