Approach

Shannon offers an integrative approach drawing from a number of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Specialization

Shannon approaches her work from an anti-oppressive, de-colonizing, non-pathologizing lens and uses neurodiversity affirming practices. Shannon supports adults who are autistic and/or have ADHD, experiencing challenges with emotional regulation, interpersonal communication, self-awareness, and executive functioning. She provides guidance for clients seeking professional diagnosis, self-diagnosis, and access to affirming resources and supportive communities. Shannon recognizes both the unique gifts and challenges of living as a neurodivergent person in a neuro-normative world and offers an ethical, supportive space where folks can be themselves without masking. Shannon has a particular interest in the use of psychedelic medicines as a healing modality for neurodivergent individuals.
