Shannon holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle and a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Loma Linda University. Shannon has 17 years experience working in the school system supporting children with communication disorders. She has worked specifically with students who are autistic and/or have ADHD, and has helped families and educators understand the neurodivergent brain. Shannon has worked as a clinical counsellor in the field of substance use supporting adults at various stages of recovery both individually and in groups. In addition to her work at Phare, Shannon is the lead therapist at a pioneering psychedelic psychotherapy clinic offering ketamine treatment for adults with PTSD, treatment-resistant depression, and generalized anxiety.
